She is doing great. Loves her teacher. Is making tons of friends. And is busy testing out how all these new systems work.
I, on the other hand, am a complete basket case. I can't stand myself right now. I've had two meetings with the principal, e-mail the teacher almost daily and am struggling with my own anxiety and control issues. Fabulous.
It's moments like these that I am so grateful I'm married to a guy who knows how to get out of my way and how to hold a mirror up to my neurosis. I am even more grateful that I have a daily mindfulness practice.
Luckily, things are beginning to settle down. My kid is not as tired at the end of the day. And, best of all, I'm beginning to feel the crazy mama bear that's been running my life is getting ready to pack up and leave.
